Privacy notice
This notice explains how Watch This Comps Ltd trading as Watch This Competitions (company number 17481408, registered in England and Wales, registered office Barracks Business Centre, Wakefield Road, Pontefract, England, WF8 4HH) uses the details you give us when you join our launch list, and, if you choose to, when you reserve an account.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- A record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the date and time, the page you signed up on, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address so we can spot misuse. We don't store your IP address itself.
- If you choose to create an account: your username and your password. Your password is stored only in a securely hashed form, which means nobody at Watch This Competitions can read it.
Why we collect it
We use your email address only to tell you about the Watch This Competitions launch and to offer you early access to competitions. We rely on your consent to do this, and we keep the consent record so we can show when and how you agreed.
Creating an account is optional. If you do, we store your username, email address and hashed password so we can set up your Watch This Competitions account when we launch. We'll ask you to verify your email address before the account is activated. You can join the launch list without creating an account.
What we don't do
We don't sell your details. We don't use them for anything other than launch updates, early access and, if you reserve one, setting up your account.
Who handles your data
Your details are stored in our own database.
How long we keep it
We keep your launch list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You can ask us to delete a reserved account at any time.
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Once you unsubscribe we will stop emailing you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
